Adventure Camp: Paddle Week
IS YOUR CAMPER READY TO EMBRACE THE WATER? Adventure Camp offers an exciting opportunity for water enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while honing their paddle skills. Camp options cater to all levels of experience, from novice to expert. Our qualified instructors guide participants through paddle board and kayak fundamentals, water safety, and paddle techniques and lead scenic lake expeditions, providing campers with the tools to boost their confidence on the water.
The camp day is thoughtfully structured with a blend of land lessons, skill assessments, paddle practice, and unforgettable lake journeys. In addition to refining paddle techniques, campers will learn to plan their own excursion by reading weather maps, packing their own dry bags, and planning for emergencies. Above all, we aim for campers to develop a passion for paddling, learning, and a commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle.
Camp fee includes shuttle and extended care; camp activities occur at Long Hunter State Park.
At camp, your child can earn a merit badge in kayaking, enriching their experience at no additional cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I drop my child off at paddle week instead of using the shuttle?
Our campers live all around town, and dropping your child off at the camp may be more convenient than taking the shuttle. If you choose to drop your child off at camp, please contact us to make arrangements. Please note that the shuttle and camp are one package, and we cannot offer discounts for not using the shuttle.
My child isn’t old enough yet can they still attend camp?
You can register them if your child turns the required age by your session’s date. Unfortunately, due to insurance reasons, we can’t allow children who are under the required age to attend.
Is there a waitlist for Adventure Camp?
Yes, a waiting list will be available if any of our camp sessions are full. They are on a first-come, first-offered basis.
