Transfers
No fees to switch camps until 14 days before camp (pending there is space available). Please get in touch with us using our web form or call the main office number 833-244-3288.
Cancelations
Cancellation Policy for Leadership Academy Camp
- Cancellations for camp 61 days before the session allow a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations for camp 14-60 days before the session allow for a camp credit for the same season or the following season minus a $25 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations for camp less than 14 days before the session have no refunds.
Waiting Lists
To add your camper to the waitlist, go to register as normal and choose the session that you would like. When a space becomes available you will receive a text in the order of waitlist signup. After responding to the text that you would like the spot, you will have 24 hours to complete your registration. After 24 hours, the space will be opened up to the next person on the waitlist.
General Camp Questions
How many sessions can I enroll my child for this summer?
We would love to see you all summer! Leadership Academy offers a variety of camps and locations to have an enriching experience with us all summer long, but we ask that you limit enrollment in any one of our camps to 4 weeks of the summer. We recommend mixing up camps so campers can develop new skills, attend overnight camps, play sports, go camping or spend time with family. We believe that there are many valuable experiences for our campers and we encourage our campers to have a well-rounded summer.
What do I do if my child is too sick to come to camp?
We appreciate you not sending your sick child to camp! Please make sure to text your camp director to let them know. We may be able to offer you a transfer or camp credit if you let us know ahead of time that your child will miss the entire week due to broken limbs, or other approved medical reasons. Please contact the camp office rather than the site director with these requests at (833) 244-3288.
How will my child stay cool and hydrated this summer?
Every camper will bring a full water bottle in the morning and their counselor will facilitate frequent water breaks and refills. The campers will also be reminded to fill up their water bottles when their group stops at the restroom. Nature campers will have the opportunity to play in the creeks and rivers flowing through the park. Our counselors are trained to remind campers to reapply sunscreen, as well as to choose shady areas for activities whenever possible.
Can my child be grouped with their friends?
That depends! We do accept “buddy requests” during camp registration. We do our best to ensure buddy requests of campers within 1 year of each other’s ages are put in the same group. Occasionally we can honor buddy requests with a bigger age gap, but it depends on the age spread of the group. Buddy requests are used for overall camp groupings, but not for activity pairings that are made daily for various camp activities. Most campers come to camp without friends and our counselors are excellent friend connectors.
What if my child takes prescription medication?
Please administer all medications before bringing your camper each camp day. Please alert the camp director of any issues or if your child will be bringing an inhaler or EpiPen.
What if my child gets injured while at camp?
Our camp staff is trained in First Aid and CPR, so they are ready to help keep your child safe at camp. Sometimes scrapes, cuts, bumps, and bruises happen while we play and explore. Every staff member has a first aid kit in the backpack and is ready to care for your camper as they need. For simple first aid injuries, like a band-aid fixes, we just take care of it and move on with the day. For any injury that requires a bit more attention, we will give you a call/text to let you know what is going on. We do stock a few children’s over-the counter medicines in the camp director’s first aid kit including Benadryl, Advil, and Tylenol. The camp director will call you before giving these to your child.
