Embark on an exciting adventure at Camp Twigs, where curiosity and thrilling escapades come together! Nestled in a picturesque 70-acre park in Hendersonville, along the shores of Old Hickory Lake, this camp is dedicated to unveiling the wonders of the great outdoors.
Picture your days filled with paddle boarding on the serene lake, engaging in the excitement of geocaching, perfecting your aim in archery, and reveling in the joy of play amidst vast grassy fields. Camp Twigs Sanders Ferry offers a delightful playground, a gaga-ball court, and a spacious pavilion where kids can indulge in games and crafts.
What sets Camp Twigs apart is our belief in empowering kids to take charge of their own adventure. While our counselors are on hand for support and guidance, the day unfolds with an unstructured and flexible design, allowing ample time for exploration, forging deeper connections with nature, and cultivating friendships.
Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry is for children ages 5-12 years old and is one of the summer camps offered by Leadership Academy. Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry park is operated through a permit with the Hendersonville Parks and Recreation.
Children will spend the day outdoors, engaged in play and education, and increasing their appreciation for the outdoors. Through their time at camp, kids develop confidence, grit, determination, and valuable social skills – all the while getting sweaty, muddy, and stronger!
Camp Add-ons
Camp Shuttle Add-On
Shuttle service will be available daily as an add-on to and from camp for registered campers. A qualified driver and a camp counselor are on board with the campers to keep them safe and have fun on the shuttle.

- Cedar Park: 8:15 am
- Mary’s Magical Place: 8:00-8:30
Pick-up Times
- Mary’s Magical Place: 3:30
- Cedar Park: 3:45 pm
- East Park: 4:00 pm; 5:15 with after care
Price: $65/week; $100/week with after care (East Park only)
Aftercare:
Weekly aftercare is available as an add-on during registration. You may pick-up as late as 5:15.
