At Camp Twigs, kids spend their days getting sweaty, muddy, and stronger. Through unstructured outdoor time on the shores of Old Hickory Lake, campers build real confidence, grit, and friendships — without a screen in sight.

Picture paddle boarding on Old Hickory Lake, geocaching through 70 acres of park, archery, gaga ball, crafts, and open fields with room to roam. Our counselors are always nearby for support — but the day belongs to your camper.
Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry is for children ages 5–12 and is part of Nashville’s Leadership Academy summer camp program, operated through a partnership with Hendersonville Parks and Recreation.

Camp Add-ons
Camp Shuttle Add-On
Shuttle service will be available daily as an add-on to and from camp for registered campers. A qualified driver and a camp counselor are on board with the campers to keep them safe and have fun on the shuttle.

Drop-off Times:
- East Park: 8:00 am
- Cedar Park: 8:15 am
- Mary’s Magical Place: 8:00-8:30
Pick-up Times:
- Mary’s Magical Place: 3:30
- Cedar Park: 3:45 pm
- East Park: 4:00 pm; 5:15 with after care
Price:
$65/week; $100/week with after care (East Park only)
Lunch:
Lunch for the week can be purchased for $75/week as an add-on during registration.
Camp lunch includes carb (pretzels, gold fish, or similar), fruit, snack, and protein – peanut butter and jelly sandwich, turkey sandwich, pizza roll-up, or cold chicken nuggets. No substitutions available. Camp lunch is a good choice for children who are not picky eaters and do not have many dietary restrictions.
Aftercare:
Weekly aftercare is available as an add-on during registration. You may pick-up as late as 5:15.
