Our newest location is located at Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, TN. Like our other locations, Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry will have your child splashing in the water, meeting local wildlife, playing outdoor games, and more! Leadership Academy Camp Twigs at Sanders Ferry is a place where your child’s creativity and imagination can run wild!
Camp Twigs loves to encourage exploration and spark curiosity and this is a great location to do so! This beautiful 70-acre property is nestled in the rolling hills just outside of Nashville next to the South Harpeth River. This peaceful retreat offers big grassy fields, a rolling river perfect for nature exploring, a playground, tree swings, and a big pavilion to play games, crafts, and other camp fun! All of our camps are highly personalized and allow children to choose their own adventure.
Camp Twigs at Bells Bend Beaman is an outdoor adventure day camp that forms friendships and a love of nature. Our campers learn outdoor skills, such a fire-building, campfire cooking, using hand-tools, setting up a tent, bird watching, and more. These beautiful parks offer access to pristine creeks and woods, plus archery and rock climbing! Your child will love spending their days outside with their new camp friends, and you’ll love their newfound independence and confidence.
Is your child ready to take the helm for a sailing adventure? Nashville Sail Camp offers US Sailing Level 1 instruction in week-long sessions. Along with boat navigation, safety, and points of sail, your child will learn valuable problem solving, creative thinking techniques, and teamwork. Campers spend their days in a group of peers, with caring camp staff and certified instructors to learn to sail with plenty of hands-on sailing experience!
Is your camper enthusiastic about biking or wanting to get into a fun sport? Our Mountain Bike Camp is a great way to improve skills, safety, and learn to enjoy your surroundings. Mountain Bike Camp is set up for a variety of riders from riders just starting out to riders wanting to develop existing skills and have a fun week out on the trails. Qualified instructors teach skills, trail etiquette, and basic bike maintenance. The camp day is set up with classroom sessions, skill assessments, drill practice, hands-on bike work, trail rides, and classic camp activities. Campers must provide their own bike, helmet, and required safety gear. For ages 9-16.
Have fun, make friends, and learn Leadership Skills at camp. Teen Leaders teaches principles of leadership through two unique and fun programs, Leaders in Training (13-15) and Counselors in Training (15-17). Under the direction and support from the Teen Mentor, Teen Leaders participate in camp activities, at a leader level, learning both advanced skills and how to teach and talk about skill development. Teen Leaders will learn to be role models to younger campers, lead games and songs, and complete a service project with their peers while journaling about their experience. Being a Teen Leader can be a transformational journey that takes teens to the next level of their leadership development.
This program takes place at all camp locations!
